Privacy Policy — Budget Tracker

1. Overview

Budget Tracker ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains what data is (and is not) collected when you use the Budget Tracker mobile application, and how that data is handled.

2. Data Stored on Your Device Only (Local Storage)

All financial data you enter in the app — including monthly salary, payday, fixed expenses, and daily transactions — is stored locally on your device only. We do not sync, upload, or share this data with any server. Data is persisted using the device's native storage (Capacitor Preferences) and remains entirely under your control.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or process any of the following:

• Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number)
• Financial account credentials
• Location data
• Device identifiers for tracking purposes
• Any data entered into the app

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app uses Google AdMob to display banner and interstitial ads. AdMob may collect anonymous information about your device and ad interactions in accordance with Google's privacy policy, including:

• Device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID)
• IP address (approximate location)
• Ad interactions (impressions, clicks)

During development, test ad unit IDs are used, so no real ads are served. For the production version, Google's AdMob SDK applies its own privacy controls. You can opt out of personalized ads via your device settings.

5. Version Check

When the app starts, it fetches a small version.json file from GitHub Pages (https://iamtrichi.github.io/PP/budget-tracker/version.json) to determine whether a newer app version is available. This request does not send any personal or financial data. It only contains the current app version string provided by the operating system.

6. Third-Party Services

The app relies on the following third-party libraries/platforms:

• Capacitor (by Ionic) — native runtime; no data collected. capacitorjs.com
• i18next — language/localization library; no data collected. i18next.com
• Google AdMob — see section 4 above.

7. Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer any personal information to third parties. AdMob data is processed under Google's own privacy terms.

8. Children's Privacy

This app is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. Your Rights and Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally, you have full control:

• Delete all app data: Go to your device Settings → Apps → Budget Tracker → Storage → Clear Data (or Clear Cache + Clear All Data).
• Uninstall: Removing the app deletes all locally stored data.

No data remains on any server after uninstallation.

10. Security

Your financial data never leaves your device. The app does not connect to any backend database. The only external communications are: (a) anonymous AdMob ad requests, and (b) a version-check JSON fetch from GitHub Pages, neither of which involve personal or financial data.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
